Our 2026 Book Clubs are underway! Check back often for new book clubs to be added throughout the year.
2026 Local Author Book Club
Featuring Austin and San Antonio based authors you may not have had the chance to read before, this book club is genre-non-specific. The only criteria is that the author is based in Austin, San Antonio, or elsewhere in Central Texas. We strive for diverse representation among the authors we feature as well as the genres represented. To join our 2026 Local Author Book Club just check out the slate below for August-November, and join us for the meetups, where the author is in attendance! No RSVP needed. We have copies of each book on hand for you to purchase and read, and the author will sign them at book club!
Your book will be signed by the author, and the authors join us for our book club discussions!
Mockingjay Saturdays
Join bookseller Maddie as we revisit all the Hunger Games novels in advance of the new Sunrise on the Reaping movie! See details for the next meetup on our main homepage or our events calendar. Meetups range from August-November 2026 and will culminate in a group outing to see Sunrise on the Reaping!

Sapphic Reading Group
This group tends to meet at 2 pm on the first Sunday of each month. Check in with Abby for the date of the next meet up. This group focuses on books of all genres featuring sapphic stories by lesbian and bisexual authors.

The Read Whatever You Want Book Club
This is a book club with a unique format. As the name suggests, there is not an assigned book. You can read whatever you want and then show up to talk about it. Did you read five books this month and want to recommend them to people? That's great. Read a great magazine article or essay you'd like to discuss? Didn't have time to read anything, but would love to show up and get recommendations? That's great too. If you have a passion for reading and love to share, this group is for you.
